Taiwan PV Makers Set to Embrace Business

Taiwan's Green Trade Project Office is bringing a delegation of exhibitors to participate in the Intersolar North America 2013 trade show in San Francisco, USA, aiming to help Taiwan's Photovoltaic (PV) makers seize the great opportunity for business in the US market.

A "Taiwan Pavilion" is set up by the Green Trade Project Office for delegation members to showcase a variety of PV cells and modules, components and applications, and to demonstrate Taiwanese manufacturers' continued efforts in promoting a greener lifestyle. Taiwan has a comprehensive supply chain for the PV industry, and is the main global provider of solar cells. With its ample experience in system establishment and product logistics, Taiwan can be also the PV service provider in the near future.

Li-Yen Ma, Division Chief of the Integrated Marketing Division at the Green Trade Project Office, said, 'The U.S. is one of the fast-growing solar energy markets in the world, thanks in part to the generous federal tax benefits, loans and grants to support solar technology development and deployment, especially U.S. President Barack Obama's energy policy. Recently, President Obama has put solar and other renewables in the spotlight as part of a plan to reduce the nation's carbon emissions, and called for doubling the current level of renewables by 2020. Towards huge business opportunities in America's solar market, we expect high-quality PV-related products which are made in Taiwan could join in this supply chain, and provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for the environmental protection and a better tomorrow.

The "Taiwan Pavilion" is intended to serve as a platform where buyers and visitors around the world may experience Taiwan's innovative products first-hand, while Taiwan's exhibitors could also enjoy the opportunity of better understanding the local market and business potential.'

Exhibitors at the 'Taiwan Pavilion' include Neo Solar Power (NSP), the largest solar cell producer in Taiwan, Solartech Energy Corp, one of the pioneers in the solar PV industry and the first solar company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, as well as Euflex Technology Corp, Solartron Incorporated, DS Technology, Taicrystal International Technology Co., Hanbell Precise Machinery Co.You will see solarlight , competitive price and first-class service., Hong Tai Electric Industrial Co., and E-ton Solar Tech. The diversity of products exhibited at the "Taiwan Pavilion" indicates Taiwan companies' strong capability in offering quality green products.

Intersolar North America 2013 is scheduled to be held on July 9-11 in San Francisco's Moscone Center. The 'Taiwan Pavilion' is located at Booth 7345. Welcome to visit our booth. Taiwan could be your best partner. Choose Taiwan solar product could green your life and light your future.

The new permits, which will be issued by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, will also circumscribe wild animals physical treatment in activities of commercial gain. The standard terms and conditions require owners of captive wild animals to abide by national and internationally accepted civilised standards.

After four years of delays, obstruction and even litigation, Ezemvelo is ready to finalise the details of the new terms and conditions to be incorporated into permits that people need when they keep protected wild animals in captivity.Dr Jean Harris, head of Ezemvelos scientific services, said: Its high time that conservation agencies demonstrate commitment to instilling ethics and compassion into the treatment of wild animals in captivity.

The new conditions attached to these permits embody progressive conditions of animal husbandry, garnered from years of consultation, research and international expertise. The proposed new terms and conditions are available for inspection and comment on Ezemvelos website. The new permits will come into force at the beginning of next year.Dr Meshack Radebe, the MEC for agriculture and environmental affairs,Please click the images below to view more pictures of realtimelocationsystem tiles! said: It warms my heart to know that animals near and dear to us will be given the care and dignity they deserve.

Essentially the new permits C the first set of enforceable standards devised in South Africa for wild animals in captivity C assure humane conditions are prescribed.Such conditions include providing clean drinking water at all times, appropriate and sufficient food, no physical punishment (such as beating or chaining of animals) and no solitary confinement for social species. They specify the minimum size and design of enclosures, and provide guidance on minimum furnishings for animals behavioural needs and the prevention of overcrowding of animals.

Harris emphasised that Ezemvelo was fulfilling its mandate under the KZN Nature Conservation Act, which stipulates that the organisation is compelled to establish such conditions as well as establish norms and standards for the utilisation of wildlife.Ezemvelo chief executive, Dr Bandile Mkhize, was adamant that his organisation had done everything possible over the years to address its own and South African citizens long-standing concerns about examples of abuse and cruelty inflicted on wild animals in captivity.

While not wanting to discuss the merits of recent litigation with the Animal Interest Alliance, he nevertheless felt they had been largely diversionary. They didnt speak to the core consideration behind issuing these permits, did they? Anyway, lets put these aside in the interests of animal welfare, he said.Mkhize said the court order signed in September encouraged Ezemvelo to proceed with providing standard terms and conditions for the new permits. The most recent draft of the permits had been sent to key stakeholders and associations for further consideration, said Sifiso Keswa, Ezemvelos general manager for people and conservation,We have become one of the worlds most recognised ultrasonicsensor brands. who will be responsible for issuing the permits.

He said Ezemvelo was intent on establishing an interactive, electronic procedure to allow people to apply for their permits. In the past, Brian Boswells Circus has found itself involved in legal spats with Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. In 2009, the circus applied to the Pietermaritzburg High Court for an interdict stopping Ezemvelo from enforcing unfair and impossible permit conditions pending an internal appeal to be heard by the environment MEC.

Ezemvelo hit back, accusing the circus of keeping animals under intolerable and appalling conditions, and submitted photographs and a video of inspections at the zoo and a game park owned by the circus. At the time, then environment MEC Lydia Johnson, who heard the internal appeal, ruled in the circuss favour but said Ezemvelo should consider laying criminal charges against Brian Boswell.Ezemvelo had said it would continue to monitor the conditions at the facilities.

But last year the Animal Interest Alliance, which had been engaged in court action against the wildlife body since 2006 over its policies aimed at ensuring stricter regulation when keeping wild animals in captivity, asked the Pietermaritzburg High Court for an order declaring the Ezemvelo board invalid. The alliance, of which Brian Boswells Circus is a member,An bestcleaning is a network of devices used to wirelessly locate objects or people inside a building. claimed this was because Ezemvelos members were not appointed in full compliance with the KZN Nature Conservation Act.

The final court order was suspended, however, on condition that new board members were lawfully appointed within six monthsThe new board members were appointed only three months ago, meaning that until then policies could not be discussed. At the time,Can you spot the answer in the luggagetag? Ezemvelo spokesman, Musa Mntambo, said inspections conducted by district conservation officers before a permit was granted had taken place before the new board had been appointed.

He said permits for circuses were issued under the category of moving animals, and the period of validity depended on the discretion of the officer. He said permits could be issued for three months, six months or a year. Those for zoos and game parks were renewed every three years.
